4.17 Standards of Conduct

Table of Contents

At CTC we encourage play at work and that everyone contributes to making HQ a true home away from home. That being said, in order play to be safe and still allow for a productive work space, we have some rules, regulations, and standards of conduct. All entrepreneurs are urged to become familiar with these rules and standards now that you’ve been given them, are expected to follow them faithfully in conducting CTC’s business.

While not intended to list all the forms of behavior that are considered unacceptable in the workplace, the following are examples of rule infractions or misconduct that may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Basically, don’t do these things or things like them:

  • Theft or inappropriate removal or possession of property
  • Falsification of timekeeping records
  • Working under the influence of illegal drugs
  • Possession, distribution, sale, transfer, or use of illegal drugs in the workplace
  • Fighting or threatening violence in the workplace
  • Negligence or improper conduct leading to damage of company-owned or customer-owned property
  • Insubordination or other disrespectful conduct
  • Violation of safety or health rules
  • Smoking in the workplace
  • Sexual or other unlawful or unwelcome harassment
  • Violation of CTC’s policies against discrimination and retaliation
  • Unauthorized use of telephones, or other company-owned equipment
  • Unauthorized disclosure of business “secrets” or confidential information
  • Violation of personnel policies
  • Unsatisfactory performance or conduct

Nothing in this policy limits the Common Thread Collective’s policy of at-will employment.
