CTC hires very talented people, and very talented people are in high demand. If you have secondary employment outside of CTC, we support you in your endeavors of achieving your dreams as an entrepreneur; we just ask that you follow some guidelines as you chase your dreams.

We see no issue with CTC entrepreneurs holding outside jobs as long as the Entrepreneur meets the performance standards of their job description with the Common Thread Collective, devotes their best efforts and attention to the performance of their job, and the outside employment does not create an actual or apparent conflict of interest. The appearance of a conflict of interest should be avoided as well. Unless CTC has approved an alternative work schedule, entrepreneurs will be subject to CTC’s scheduling demands, regardless of any existing outside work assignments. And lastly, the Common Thread Collective’s office space, equipment, and materials are not to be used for outside employment without approval from the Managing Partner.

If you are ever in doubt about whether an activity meets CTC’s ethical standards, creates a conflict of interest or compromises CTC’s reputation, please discuss it with your supervisor or with Human Resources in the Differentiation Department.
