Below are a few examples of some of the most common circumstances for employment termination:

  • Resignation – voluntary employment termination initiated by an entrepreneur .
  • Termination – involuntary employment termination initiated by the Common Thread Collective.
  • Layoff – involuntary employment termination initiated by the Common Thread Collective for non-disciplinary reasons.

We hold true to our at-will policy and any entrepreneur  may resign with or without notice, but it’d be great if you gave CTC a heads up with at least two (2) weeks written notice so we can prep for the transition. In some cases, it may make sense to part ways sooner than late in which case, CTC reserves the right, to accept an entrepreneur ’s resignation effective immediately or if applicable, pay the entrepreneur  in lieu of notice. It’s important to note that any Expensify reimbursements are forfeited if last day falls anywhere outside of the Expensify reporting due dates.
