3.15 | Personal Effects, Employer Property, and Searches

The Common Thread Collective reserves the right to inspect any CTC property, including, but not limited to, desks, file cabinets, computers, tools and other equipment, and any other storage-type device, as well as the entrepreneurs’ personal possessions on CTC’s premises, to discourage theft and unauthorized possession of another’s property, to ensure that no violation of policy has occurred, or for any other reason deemed appropriate by CTC.  Such inspection can occur at any time, with or without advance notice or consent, including in the Entrepreneur ’s absence.  An inspection may be conducted before, during, or after working hours by any supervisor or security personnel designated by CTC.  Entrepreneurs are expected to cooperate in any security inspection.  

Further, all CTC property must be maintained in good condition and in accordance with CTC’s rules and regulations. CTC property must be kept clean and is to be used only for work-related purposes. If an Entrepreneur loses, breaks or damages any CTC property, they must report it to their supervisor at once. No CTC property may be removed from the premises without the prior authorization of your supervisor. 

Immediately at the end of employment, all CTC property (keys, tools, manuals, etc.) must be returned to CTC.  All personal items should be removed at the time the departing Entrepreneur leaves CTC’s premises.
