If an Entrepreneur is summoned to report for jury duty, they will be granted a leave of absence with pay for up to 3 days when the Entrepreneur notifies and submits a copy of the original summons for jury duty to their supervisor or manager.  CTC reserves the right to request that they seek to be excused from or request postponement of jury service if the absence from work would create a hardship to CTC.

Entrepreneurs are to report to work on any day, or portion thereof that is not actually spent in the performance of jury or witness service. For each week of jury duty, a certificate of jury service shall be certified by the Court and filed with CTC no later than Wednesday of the following week.

Entrepreneurs will be paid for up to 3 days of jury duty or witness service.  Any additional time will be unpaid.  Exempt Entrepreneur s will be paid in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).  Any fees received for jury or witness duty, including travel fees, will be either remitted to CTC or the amount of those fees received will be deducted from an Entrepreneur’s pay.

If desired, an Entrepreneur may use available accrued vacation time while serving on a jury or as a witness as described above.
