Voting is right given to all Americans and it’s something CTC believes in, whatever you want to vote for. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to exercise the right to vote and as a form of support, CTC offers flexibility around your work on voting day – you’ll just have to plan ahead and ensure deadlines are still kept and quality of work is maintained.

In most situations, you should be able to vote before or after work or by absentee ballot.  If your situation requires more than 2 hours to vote, just let your direct supervisor know.

If you’re interested in volunteering the entire day at your local voting office or voting-related needs take you away for the whole day, CTC is happy to accommodate. We just ask for notice to your direct supervisor and ample planning on your end to make sure your work expectations are kept. You have the optionality here to take the full day if needed, without PTO – you’ll just have to provide proof to CTC for being out the whole day for voting-related reasons.

The big thing here is communication – just let your direct supervisor know in advance, be responsible about your duties, and we’ll be happy to find a middle ground. Remember #cleariskind, now go get your vote on.
