6.12 | Weekend Road Warrior [WRW]
Sometimes work for CTC extends outside Monday to Friday weekdays. As an additional benefit for exempt Entrepreneurs who, in addition to their normal Monday – Friday workweek, work consecutive weekend days for a Common Thread Collective related event, Common Thread Collective will allow such Entrepreneurs to take a paid day(s) off as specified below without having to use any accrued vacation. Please note that this time off may be taken only under the specific conditions outlined below and in connection with weekends worked. Accordingly, and similar to paid holidays, days off under this policy are not earned nor do they accrue. Entrepreneurs must inform their direct supervisor five [5] days in advance of the weekend work if they plan on taking the day off prior to or after the weekend event. In order to qualify as a “working weekend” that allows you to take time off under this policy, an Entrepreneurs must work at least four hours on each day of two consecutive weekend days, performing work at an off-site event or traveling to and from work-related events.
Occasional weekend work an Entrepreneurs may perform as part of their general duties as a CTC Entrepreneurs, does not qualify for time off under this policy.
Event Full Weekend Worked: If you work the at least 4 hours each weekend day for a Common Thread Collective related event, you can take off the first day that you would otherwise resume your normal work schedule.
Example: If you work the Saturday and Sunday of a photo shoot event, you can take that following Monday off. If you are still working the event on Monday or traveling that Monday, you can take that following Tuesday off as Tuesday would be considered the first day that you would otherwise resume your normal work schedule (example to extend to other weekdays as necessary).
Two Consecutive Full Weekends Worked: If you are working two full consecutive weekends (Saturday & Sunday, Saturday & Sunday) in a month for Common Thread Collective related events, you can take off the last workday prior to your first weekend worked as well as the first day that you would otherwise resume your schedule after the second weekend worked.
Example: If you are working two consecutive weekends (Saturday and Sunday on both weekends) in a month for Common Thread Collective related events, you can take off the last workday prior to your first weekend worked as well as the first day that you would otherwise resume your schedule after the second weekend worked.
Three Plus Consecutive Full Weekends Worked: If you are working three or more consecutive full weekends (Saturday & Sunday across all weekends) for Common Thread Collective related events, you are able to take one weekday off per the number of weekends worked. Entrepreneurs must work with their direct supervisor five [5] days prior to the consecutive weekends worked to determine which days off will work best to accommodate the workload.
Example: If you work every weekend in the month of April (four weekends back to back) for Common Thread Collective related events, you can take four [4] days off following your return to your regular work schedule. In this example it would be the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday following the consecutive weekends worked. If taking this many days off following so much travel puts a burden on the Entrepreneurs workload, the Entrepreneurs can work with their direct supervisor on accommodating dates.
In rare cases, where an Entrepreneurs’ absence on the day immediately before or after a Common Thread Collective event would impact our ability to prepare for the event or to meet other urgent needs, you and your supervisor may agree to substitute a different day off within the same workweek. In those cases, Entrepreneurs are asked to work cooperatively to ensure that all work needs can be met.
