The Ultimate UGC Workflow

Hello fellow CTC cool kids! If you’re here, it’s probably because you’re interested in seeing what’s going on in the Expert Creative world – specifically – The world of user-generated content creation!

WELL LOOK NO FURTHER

YOU’VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!

In the Expert Creative Department, we are responsible for producing both studio and user-generated content for our clients. From the sales pitch stage where relationships are formed and contracts are signed, through the post-production stage where delivery of final assets occurs, our team collaborates to create digital ads that align with client goals.

As dreamers and entrepreneurs ourselves, we understand how important it is for small businesses to have branded content that reaches, and resonates with, their target audience.

While we produce both UGC and studio content, our UGC Production process has a few key differences.

After our initial kick-off meeting with our client, we begin the casting process. Casting calls are posted on backstage.com and talent options are pulled and either incorporated into the Client Pitch Deck or added to a separate Talent Options Deck. Once talent is approved by the client, the creative producer begins creating a UGC Video Brief which acts as a comprehensive self-direction guide for talent.

Rather than shooting in a studio or on location, most user-testimonial footage is shot in the talent’s home, so specific guidelines for background, framing, and lighting are included in the Video Brief. The Video Brief is also meant to outline examples of shots needed and helpful talking points.

Once the video brief materials are sent, the creative producer has client ship product to talent. When the product has arrived to talent, they have (3) days to deliver their footage back to us.

After footage is received and approved, payment is processed through Wrapbook.com and editing begins. Iterations are completed through editor and creative producer collaboration with the client’s brand and goal in mind.

From there, final assets are complete and (fingers-crossed) client and CTC team are all happy campers!
