Diwali

Diwali is an annual Indian holiday celebrating light, good triumphing over evil, and new beginnings.

This holiday is a tradition of the Hindu, Jain, Sihk, (and sometimes Buddhist) religions.

A typical celebration includes decorating homes & shops with oil lamps, fireworks, and lots of sweets.

Diwali is 5 days long, with the height of the celebration taking place on the darkest day of the lunar month.
